Our weekly and special assemblies are designed to nurture values, creativity and student leadership. Below are highlights from recent assemblies and house events.
Plantation Drive Assembly
The school assembly dedicated to the Plantation Drive was held with great enthusiasm, aiming to spread awareness about the importance of trees in combating climate change. Students shared facts about deforestation and the need for afforestation. Saplings were distributed and planted on the school premises, symbolizing the beginning of a greener journey. The Principal appreciated the students' efforts and encouraged eco-friendly practices in daily life.
Earth Day Assembly
GD Goenka School celebrated Earth Day through a thought-provoking assembly focusing on environmental awareness and responsibility. Students performed a powerful skit depicting the consequences of environmental neglect and presented speeches on sustainable living. The highlight was a pledge taken by students and teachers to reduce plastic usage, conserve water, and protect nature.
International Dance Day Assembly
To mark International Dance Day, the school assembly showcased the beauty of dance as an expression of joy, culture, and unity. Students performed classical, contemporary, and folk dances, demonstrating the rich diversity of Indian and global dance forms. The assembly was vibrant and energetic, encouraging students to explore performing arts.
Labour Day Assembly
The Labour Day assembly was a heartfelt tribute to the hardworking support staff. Students gave speeches and recited poems expressing gratitude. A group of students also performed a skit highlighting the dignity of labour and the importance of respecting all professions. Tokens of appreciation and flowers were presented to the support staff.
Mother's Day Assembly
The Mother's Day assembly was a beautiful blend of emotions and expression. Students shared touching stories, poems, and heartfelt messages dedicated to their mothers. A musical tribute and short drama celebrated selfless love and sacrifices of mothers, and students presented tokens of appreciation.
Special House Assembly — Radhakrishnan House
The Radhakrishnan House conducted a vibrant and inspiring special assembly, highlighting the values of knowledge, leadership, and service. The assembly presented a thematic skit, motivational speech, and songs promoting education and integrity. The Principal appreciated the house for showcasing creativity and teamwork.
Special Activities & Other Assemblies
We regularly host themed assemblies for awareness drives, festivals, special occasions and curricular tie-ups. These events give students a platform to present work, lead activities, and develop confidence and leadership skills across the school community.
